Family & Friends:
You're all aware of last night bringing some less than ideal news. Today, Saoirse was somehow Imperiused by Death Eaters and made to deliver a message for them to someone within the Ministry. She's home and safe now.

Trouble being that "safe" is getting to be a very stretched descriptor the more my family gets targeted. At this point, the only thing I realistically can control is making sure my siblings have options should something happen. So, this is me asking a favour. If you're all right with them coming to you in the wake of an emergency -- if for some reason they're unable to contact me -- just drop a note here. Thanks, everyone.

I wasn't going to write anything. I thought I had good, solid reasons to not: sake of professionalism, not dignifying being called out, and the fact that others have written exactly what I was thinking.

The truth is that when you're told to stop being with your wife of 12 years on the same night your brother is attacked, I don't know what keeping quiet actually does.

I don't have threats in return to those who keep coming after my family. I don't have any pleas. All I want is to make a point of how this changes nothing I do, or will keep doing with my life.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. Keep your loved ones near.

Family & Friends:
I typically wouldn't lump everyone together on a ward, but it's been that sort of a night where saving time isn't the worst idea.

Everyone here is fine. I have no plans on dignifying being named. Besides that, I can't imagine what they even want me to stop doing beyond "stop being married". Tough luck to them, in any case.

Is everyone else all right?

[[Added after THIS.]]

Kelly was attacked. He was lucky and injuries aren't too bad, but Al and I are here with him while we wait for the DMLE to arrive.

DMLE:
[[Added after THIS.]]

Requesting assistance at Ceallach O'Connor's flat in Dublin. His home was compromised in an attack tonight.

Warded to Melissa Fenwick:
Let me know when you have a minute. There's something we need to discuss.

Al Max:
Tell me the answer isn't relocating my whole family as far away from here as possible.

Aaron Wagtail:
Kelly said this Order of the Phoenix tinkered with his wards and left a note. The same happened to you?

All Mediwizards/Mediwitches and Healers who attended to the crash:
This is going to be brief, but don't take my words for any less because of it. I saw a lot of good work out there tonight and a lot of bang-up coordination with the Muggle authorities and response teams. Never mind whatever the press is writing. That deserves commending. You all deserve commending.

Friends & family:
Word travels insanely fast on the journals, so I think you're all aware of the crash tonight. Skipping to the chase: my group was on the night shift, but I've finally reached the point of stepping back to let the Healers take full control.

I'm not really sure what else to say. There's something about this sort of a thing that makes me want to grab my journal and make sure everyone is safe and sound.

Anne Jones, Jack MacDougal, Al Max, Prudence Max, Graham Proudfoot, Rufus Scrimgeour (& anyone Mac would consider a friend!):
I hate to ask a favour, but if you see me writing in reply to anyone that belittles my brother-in-law, please remind me that I might be picking a fight with someone I shouldn't.

Or back me up. I'm torn at this point about what I really need right now.

O'Connors:
It struck me - when I snagged a free moment, here - that I haven't bothered the lot of you in a bit. Before you lot make the remarks: yes, this is the first thought I have when I find a chance to sit down and open my journal. Yes, we all saw each other yesterday, but there's been a full moon since then. The fact that I haven't heard any major reports doesn't take the edge off. You all know to just humour me with this stuff, right? Right.

Al Max:
I'm going to guess you're tearing into an early-afternooon bag of crisps right about now. How close was I?
